4 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Quit

Being In It To Win It

One sure sign that you’re onto something is when everything around you is falling apart.  When things that would ordinarily never happen, happens.  When the people that you love the most become obstacles.  When you lose friends, patience, sleep,  sanity, and maybe even some hair, you’re on the right track — don’t stop!

It’s true that the closer you are to success, the more stupid life will seem to become.  I can tell you from experience that when your goal is around the corner, even the air around you will annoy you, and people will seem to have lost their minds. It’ll seem as though everyone is planning and waiting for you to fail, and sometimes there’s truth to that.  Nonetheless, when you’re almost there, it’ll feel like it’s you against the world.

As I prepare to take on a new volume of my life, I’m finding myself jumping hurdle after hurdle.  Some hurdles are higher than others, while some shouldn’t be, and wasn’t there at all, until I decided to make some changes in my life.  I’m sure that I’ve thrown my hands in the air and said “Eff it!” at least a thousand times.  So far, I’m still hanging in there (although only barely, at times) and pushing through the “BS” and moving towards my destiny.

It’s Just Gotta Be That Way

I’m convinced that difficulties along the way are a part of the design,  As aggravating and disheartening as these challenges can be, they’re necessary (though it usually takes a while to figure out why).  Anything that comes easily, leaves easily; so the extra work and stress will usually pay off.  Another reason to value the design and the difficulties is because it will force the people in your life to be who they are.  That makes it easier to know who is worth bringing into your next volume and who should be left behind.  Anyone who does not believe in you or support you shouldn’t be invited into your future, as they will only poison you.

When your world is crumbling around you while you are trying hard to build it, it’s very easy to stop or decide that, “this is not the time“.  DAMN THAT! This IS the time.  If you don’t do it now, you’ll never do it.  You definitely cannot quit, and here’s why.

1 – It’s Yours!

I don’t know your story, but I know that everyone has one.  Somewhere in that story is the phrase, “I deserve a break!“, and you do! That thing that you decided to do is yours, and only you can make it happen.  But at the same time, only you can stop it from happening.  Believe in yourself and believe that you can do anything.  #Yougotthis

2 – Don’t Let The Obstacles Win

Suppose the obstacles that are being thrown in your face are not all tests and challenges, but instead, they are designed to destroy you, your plans, and to break you down.  Either way, you have to be bigger than your road blocks.  This is your mission, your goal, your destiny.  Fight for it! Should anyone or anything get in your way, remove them or it.  Be ruthless when it comes to your life and your ambitions.

3 – You Can’t Win If  You Don’t Play

Know that it’s a game, and decide to win! Choose the things that are required for your happiness, right down to the tiny details: what you want to do, the place that you want to be, and the kind of life that you want for yourself.  And then, stay in the game until you accumulate everything that you set out for.  If you back away from the table, not only will you lose the game, but you will never know what could have been.

4 – When You’re Smilin’

Like the song says, “When you’re smilin’ the whole world smiles with you“.  It’s true that when you’re feeling good, you create a positive environment — and that’s what it’s all about.  Positivity breeds positivity.  Following your dreams and achieving them will inspire many people.  This is your opportunity to make a difference.

You owe it to yourself to follow through with your plans.  Of course there will be a few bumps in the road, and not all of the journey will be fun.  However, your story will inspire and encourage many people.

Kick Ass!

Regardless of your size, you are bigger than anything or anyone who tries to interrupt your progress.  Don’t take adversity lying down.  Stand up and KICK ASS!

Stay true to yourself, yet always be open to learn. Work hard, and never give up on your dreams, even when nobody else believes they can come true but you. These are not cliches but real tools you need no matter what you do in life to stay focused on your path.”
