Waiting On The Signs

Sometimes, Things Really Are What They Are

**A Note To Myself

Have you ever wanted something so badly, that you took every little thing as a sign, for or against it?  No matter how unrealistic these “signs” may be, you totally believe them.  And, over time, you drive yourself friggen crazy with these “signs” that may, or may not mean anything.  Seriously, I’m sure that many people can relate and agree, that this type of behavior is a shortcut to insanity.

I understand that there are many reasons for not asking what you want to know, or saying what you want to say.  Amongst those reasons are: shyness, and fear of rejection.  We are often afraid that we might learn something that we really didn’t want to know; like, that all of those “positive signs” that you thought the Universe was sending you, meant absolutely nothing. They were just what they were.  At that point, you’d become frustrated and disappointed.  But, if you are wise enough, you’ll hold yourself accountable for manufacturing a story based on happenstance, and then believing your own nonsense.  It’s a hard pill to swallow when your own crap hits the fan.

But, The Universe Really Does Send Signs

It’s true that if you ask the Source for signs, you will receive them.  But, as said before, you have to do the work.  You can’t solely depend on the Universe to send you signs, when you are not bold enough to make an effort to ask what you want to know, or say what you want to say.  What if the Universe is sending you a sign that the time to take action is now? You might miss it because you’re afraid, rather than take a chance.  Whether you hear what you want to hear or not, you’ll know where you stand, if you should keep working towards your goal in the same fashion, or amend your original plan.

I’m Not Saying That You Should Ever Give Up

If you want something, you should go for it — full speed ahead! Never let anyone, or anything tell you that you can’t have the things that you desire.  Don’t settle, keep going.  A large part of “keep going” is facing your fears.

Even if you don’t hear what you want to hear, it doesn’t mean that it’s over, or that your dreams are unattainable. However, it could mean that now may not be the time, and that you need to work harder and stay committed.  Whatever you want, is already yours — that exact product, not a substitute.  Take action, and you will have it.

Now Is Not Always The Time

Sometimes it’s necessary to lay and wait for the right time.  Theres nothing wrong with respecting the timing.  In that time, you might find a better way to solve a problem, ask a question, or make a statement.  However, don’t wait so long that it becomes an excuse.  We only have but so much time on this planet.  Don’t let your dreams and goals pass you by because you were too afraid or too subtle to make an effective move.  This is isn’t a TV show, or a movie — this is REAL LIFE! Chances are, there won’t be many magic moments, so just go for it.

It Takes Courage

This might sound crazy, but it takes courage to have courage — so be courageous! Whatever is for you, whether it’s someone or something, will not work its way towards a wimp.  People who are afraid may acquire things, but they don’t usually keep them.  It’s the things that you work hard for that will stick around the longest.  Be brave and take that chance.  Regardless of the outcome, you’ll win.

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
